Born and raised in Southern California, Eddie Nakada grew up surfing and after college, moved to Utah and worked at a ski resort for the last 17 years. At the end of 2009, after many trips diving and surfing in Central America, he decided to quit the ski business and move to Roatan. He did his Dive Master internship at Native Sons and has worked for us ever since, becoming an instructor in November 2010.
From a small town on the south coast of Ireland, Heidi O'Shea grew up spending lots of time out on the sea with her family and she has always loved the ocean. When she discovered scuba diving, backpacking around Southeast Asia in 2013, she was hooked. She came out to Roatan in April 2016 to do her divemaster and instructor training and has been working with Native Sons since.
Kfer Jackson, on the left and Teo Jackson, on the right, are the sons of the owner, Alvin Jackson. These 2 are the real native sons, both born and raised on Roatan. Both recently graduated from high school, and contemplating a plan for the future, they decided to become dive instructors and join the family business. They are really making themselves useful; captaining the boats, leading dives, teaching courses and filling tanks.
